Our 2005 Eriba 540 Touring GT 3berth with Eriba porch awning. £11,500

Sadly selling due to my OH's ill health . We’ve had this 8 yrs .It was previously owned by Eriba forum members , and weve had it regularly serviced by an Eriba specialist,so we have service history . The woodwork is mid pine colour since photos are deceptive.

1200kg axle
Rear long side seating which can be extended to wide singles or large double.Small foldaway table.
Breakfast diner at front.
Mover - Easy Driver Pro 1.8 added a few years before Covid.
Automotive Leisure Eriba porch awning barely used plus unused weather strip
Alko hitchlock / Stabiliser Eriba plastic hitch cover .
Gas hatch with pigtails for propane and butane. With one propane cylinder.
External access hatch to under bed storage.
Water supply is external . No hot water system.
3 way fridge with extra fan added .3 burner hob.
7 internal electrical sockets plus one external .
Adjustable/removable luggage restraint bar .
Trumo gas heater.
Usual fly nets on all windows /door and round the pop top . Latter reproofed with '33' 2yrs ago.
Lock ‘em out locks on all the windows.
25m cable/ spacers/chucks /2 keys

For those without , we also have 40L aquaroll and handle, 1 Purple line Nemesis ultra and 1 Bulldog wheel lock , a 3 times used inflatable ‘lock n level single axle leveller, up for negotiation .
In quite good condition I think for its age ,except needs a little cosmetic attention (see photos) to a scraped rear towel rail end , a broken external TV attachment, the flat deck of the hitch , the fridge shelving , and the aluminium panels at the front which have some surface corrosion (but no rot). There is a small hairline crack on the heater. The upholstery is original and good condition .We do have the original colour matched fitted carpet (which we replaced with mats), but it needs a good clean.
We are Wirral, Cheshire based.

Hmm ,not very good with IT and just realized Im on my laptop and the photos are all in my mobile phone , so will put this up now, and then when it shows on the forum , I'll try to add photos from the mobile when Ive charged it a bit more.
APOLOGIES, What a dogs breakfast of a post and layout !!!!! For whatever reason my phone is playing up and is pleasing itself as to whether it bothers to download at all . the wrong ones, and pot luck what way up they are ! Lord knows where the comedy family shot sneaked in from either ! Think I might just need some more IT coaching too lol!

For a moment I thought it might be our 2005 540, previously owned by Frantone, but ours was sold on 9 years ago and had a Truma Therme boiler, but it did have a teddy bear. IIRC it went to someone in Carmarthenshire not up in the Wirral.

We have an odd set of connections to the Wirral. When we lived in North Yorkshire we purchased a pair of Lloyd Loom chairs from Chester golf club, almost in The Wirral and a few years later bought our dining room suite from a couple in Grenfell Park, Parkgate. Then we moved to North Staffs and purchased some study furniture from a couple in Hamilton Close, Parkgate. When we moved to our current house, 18 months ago, we sold our almost brand new dishwasher to someone in Wallasey. The Wirral seems to have a magic attraction for used household item sales.

Hi Andy , it is Esme . Yes probably is nearer to 9 yrs now . She has given us a lot of pleasure, but sadly time to let her go . I thought the heater was just a regular Trumo Trumatic gas thing -- but we've never used it , so not paid a lot of attention , preferring a mini radiator instead which does the job admirably . We are Wirral lol, so your connection stayed true !

Nobody told me there's an Eriba specialist on the Wirral - I've a couple of jobs need doing on mine.

Is he any good?

Esmerelda definitely has a Truma Therme electric hot water boiler up the back and a Truma Ultraheat electric element in the gas space heater, fitted by Darren Edwards a Stokey caravan tech. I'm almost tempted to get her back.

My comment about John was a joke, the man's a legend in the Eriba world.

I'd completely forgotten the pocket storage thing hanging on the outside of the washroom. That brought memories flooding back.

I'm confused by the kitchen tap only having a blue marker, when I'm sure that our first '01 540 had cold only, but that the '05 one had a boiler. Maybe Frantone, as the original owner, can confirm, or not.

At a quick glance over the pics the only difference I can spot from when we owned her in 2011 to 2013 is that the original Hymer cost option carpet has gone. And I can't see a pic that shows the wardrobe exterior side wall where a small inherited picture of a Spitfire in flight used to hang, plus the combined smoke/CO alarm that I fitted.

Yes course I know you were kidding about John E .lol. He's been a godsend to us ever since we got the van , especially living so close . We've not changed anything to do with the water /heating system , so only know we used cold water - never used the shower ever , and used the CC facilties all the time - except the toilet of course - Im not up for welly clad super fast flights across the grass first thing of a morning lol!! Not sure what happened to the plane picture , but as you see Ted is still there sporting the nylon hat we used to cover the end of the aquaroll whenever it was empty. John E put a new mover on ,gas pigtails and the extra fridge fan for the continent and the old carpet is rolled up in storage and apart from a new porch awning , thats about it . Dont know whether it was you or Frantone that added all the sockets, but we really couldnt have managed without them ,brilliant

It was either Cernay or Tony that added a bucket full of Eriba coat hooks and the same Darren E who fitted the mains socket on the rear end of the kitchen for us.

Maybe I'm getting confused about the boiler and it was the '01 540 that had it and the '05 didn't. I'm having doubts because I remember that it was an easy job to get at the boiler, whilst with the central cabinet of Esme it's not just a matter of lifting a cushion. Also I remember having to replace a leaking kitchen tap when we first got one of the vans and I procured a cheap used one from a nearby used Eriba dealer who had a box full of cold only taps from vans he'd fitted hot water systems to.

I was wondering about the mover as I didn't think I recognised it.
