I think, based on what we did and that that our brakes are still biting and the drum brakes are still okay, and that we had the caravan serviced before we left, that we have damaged the brakes by driving with the hand brake on, my fault entirely, this has put extra pressure in the damper so it clunks from time to time. My understanding is the faster you force the damper the greater force it applies.
