As the others have said, don't log out. This forum recognises any inactivity by a user after about 20 minutes so sends that user's profile to sleep. So the next time you visit you are automatically reawakened.

Yes, that's probably because you omitted to visit over a period in excess of 6 months. Because of the way this forum is set up, we have to pay our annual hosting fees on the basis of membership numbers so we have to keep control of those numbers by deleting non visitors or dormant members after the 6 month period.
As far as we are to know, non-active members may have moved on etc. When members do visit this site, the system recognising your visit even though you may not say anything so it will have automatically logged you in.
It's all in the Rules and explainations.

The only annoying thing about that system is that you don't pass through the Portal when you visit so miss our lovely carousel of Eribas

As long as you visit here as a member and not as a guest, the mere fact that your name has shown up SHOULD constitute a visit. You do not have to post something. It is possible, especially if you use someone else's laptop or phone, that you visit as a guest so your name will not show up.

The system is not foolproof as the decision to remove a membership is done manually so it is possible for a mistake to be made in which case we are sorry if it has happened. We take extreme care before we make these decisions as, although it's easy to re-apply for membership, your continuity is disrupted.
