We used to rent a RV for holidays and visited France and Italy. we enjoyed camping with a RV very much, as we are cyclists. We are outside on our bikes a lot of time and still got a tent for camping.
Then we decided to buy a caravan...
We were very interested in getting an airstream caravan, but then we came across an Eriba 820..
It was love on first sight, and after being a bit around with it, I love it even more. It is so "gemütlich", as we germans say, but still slim enough to get everywhere.
We tow it with a Volvo xc 90 mild hybrid.

Welcome to the forum Quincy and I hope you are enjoying your new Eriba. Not many 820's are sold in the UK as we cannot tow something so large unless we have a commercial vehicle. I think Hymer missed out on the UK market due to the length of the van.

Hi Quincy and welcome to the Forum.

Your 820 is very special and you must love it. I'm not sure I would like to tow it around some of our narrow lanes that lead to many of our sites near the coast.

As Colin suggests we see very few 820s because of our towing regulations.
