It's good to make plans at this time of year though, whether you stick with them all or not.
We've not started planning next year's trip yet but our thoughts are there.
Despite what Graculus thinks, I normally sit down around the end of November and outline our trip. Then in January, the boss fine tunes it (ie. alters it ) before we go. By the end of the first week we are off course anyway and heading on a totally different route but always towards the sun

Was going to spend weekend on Dartmoor but weather forecast put us off.

Turned out to be wrong except for the rain last night, who cares if it rains then, you just get wet walking back from Pub.

When will they get it right ?

I don't take any notice, my favourite pastimes, Cyling and Shooting are both unaffected by the weather.
stage races are rarely cancelled due to the weather, and we shoot in all weathers,
Just think, you missed an opprttunity to do what you like most, haven't you
