image.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)Off shooting tomorrow, full day with Bracken my Springer, second time this season.
Picking up my mate (yes I do have mates!) and we should have a cracking day.

Anyone else doing what they like to do best tomorrow, or Sunday?

I'll be walking into town getting a coffee with my wife then I'll leave her up there and walk back along the canalside and then watch the rugby. Town is just under 3 miles each way :-) just keeps me ticking over 3 or 4 times a week I do that on other days I walk a longer route BUT still suffer from weight ;-)

We got rid of the decorator last Sunday after he'd been a constant presence for 11 days. This evening I paid his bill (gulp) via internet banking. Next Wednesday the curtain fitter arrives and will put up the poles and curtains that have been hanging around in boxes since before my operation in July.

Tomorrow we have 4 year old grandson with us while his mum and dad go to meet our son-in-law's birth father for the first time. That's going to be an emotional visit methinks.

Tomorrow I hope to get a lie in.
We are on a farm CL at Thorpe le Soken and the peace was shattered this morning at 06:45 by steels being delivered and unloaded for a barn rebuild.
So tomorrow it will be lie in, walk to village for beer and lunch then back to van for rugby.

Rugby? In a van? That's almost incest.

We are off to visit doo-dah in storage, we will give him a wash and fetch the bedding home as it could be early new year before we get away again. I hate this time of year, much prefer it when we are taking everything back to start our travels again. I am mentally planning next year's trips and fancy trying Dumfries and Galloway. We usually go to the Highlands but I have been reading how the Galloway forest is one of the top 3 places for the dark skies. I am not into astronomy or anything but just love starry skies, would love to see the northern lights. I was thinking how lovely it would be if doo-dah had a window in the roof over the bed to watch the stars. Now then, just before we leave where's that saw!

Hi Ellen, I leave always fancied a skylight.
Somewhere out there on the web is an Eriba with a small roof light. There is a set of pics and info about how it was done.
It might have been in the German forum?

Yes, I saw that too. I've been trying to find it again but no joy

I think it might've been the French forum.

Hopefully one of us will find the details and post them here. I have read that wild camping in the Galloway forest is permitted, it would most probably be difficult with a caravan but we hope to eventually compliment doods with a vw day van so we could wild camp in it. We have lots of plans, just need the funds to put them into action. Ellen.
