We have had our new Troll nearly six months now and find the water containers in the bathroom cupboard and under the kitchen sink awkward to change and want to put it out side. Was wondering if any of you have done this and can provide a how to including which kit to buy,I am in charge of sourcing the parts then my husband will fit them any advise to make life easier for both of us would be great!

The external water supply is usually provided from an aquaroll (40 litre barrel) through a Whale watermaster socket or Crystal equivalent by a drop in submersible pump and then through piping to each tap. The taps can either be switched to turn the pump on or unswitched which activates the pump by dropping the pressure in the pipe work.
Fitting this lot is DIYable if you have basic cutting and joining skills but may be a bit daunting when it comes to cutting a hole in the side of your pride and joy although th Whale and Crystal sockets come with excellent templates.
If you do decide to go down this route it may be worth including a water heater in the system. The Truma Therme fits easily under the locker at the rear.

We were lucky in that his is how ours came, Mr P (complete with the Truma Therme), so I didn't have to get the brace and bit out.

It works really well.

Having the shower head on its long hose in the bathroom also makes filling the toilet flush tank a doddle - all I do is haul the head out of the bathroom window and turn the tap on. Dropping a funnel into the swing-out filler neck means not having to contend with that infuriating airlock in the filler either.

Here's a pic of our Whale pump and socket which was already fitted when we bought the van:-

Please note though that we didn't bother with an aquaroll as we found it easier to transport a smaller plastic water container.

However, we don't bother with water in the van at all now as we always camp on sites with decent facilities. We just use a 5 litre plastic container with a tap which we keep on the table in the awning.

The Whale Water Master external socket fits nicely in under the bathroom sink.
The 10l Propex water heater is very good http://www.propexheatsource.co.uk/heaters/10l-water-heater
but you will need mixer taps http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan...reich_taps.aspx

*EDIT might as well take the kitchen and bathroom wastes into one pipe on the non door side

Whoever it was who put the water heater and the external water socket (as well as the telly, the 5.1 surround sound, the Jacuzzi, the vibrating waterbed and the mirrored ceiling) in ours did that too.

I fitted the Whale external socket and also a Propex water heater to our Troll last year. Reasonably easy to fit if you're competent with DIY.
When cutting the hole in the side of the van use a magnet to find the steel frame. You definitely don't want to hit that! You will also need to connect the pipework for the two taps together(wc & kitchen). I ran new pipes through the floor and under the van.
Not sure where you live but you're welcome to check out ours if you are passing Coventry.

The Whale Water Master Socket http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan...ter_system.aspx

*Please note there is a Pressure sensing socket and a Microswitch version.

The Pressure type will run on microswitches and or Pressure this is the one I used
