Spare Keys

Recently I was looking to get a couple of spare keys made for van. Went down normal route of local locksmiths but all could not supply the correct blanks.

"caravan Key ?" "yes" " always have problems with them"

Contacted www.keytrader.co.uk who requested macro pic of original key. Sent off and they came back with this recommendation, SSA4R

Ordered two for £2.36 and took down to Timsons with original> Nice chap cut them for £2.00 and they work fine

So two spare keys for £5.36 . Van is 2007 Troll 540.

Very good information. Just one point if I may. Do you have a copy of the macro pic. to show us less talented photographers so that in the event, we'll know what's expected?

If you can put the picture up, Mike, either I can put something in the appropriate links section or maybe you could put it in there yourself.

That way it'll be in our growing architrave of useful stuff for perpetuituity

Hi Mike. Thanks for the photos. Are the three photos all the same or am I missing something?

So if I've got this right, all they need is a photo of the key, one side only and they can suggest the blank you need and supply same. Then you take the blank to your local key cutting service to finish the job?

Sorry I think I erased a couple of pics sent to Keytrader

Would just say sent email to Jandi and AL requesting price and delivery for replacement keys. Jandi came back with £18.00 per Key, AL no reply

No, can't get the link to work Mike however I think I can guess at what you sent. Probably a close up photo of each side of the key to enable them to draw out a suitable blank?
Do you mind if we put your link into the links pages as well for future reference?
