Creaking

We both became aware of s significant creaking from the rear of our car at low speeds when pulling our Troll back from Wales.
Suspect it may need greasing and there are 2 grease points near the towbar of the Troll so may need greasing. Any other suggestions.
We are off to Sandringham CC site in mid October

The 2 grease points behind the hitch on mine are done each year as part of its annual service, have you tried cleaning the towball and the stabiliser pads?

There is a third grease point under the hitch. I think it only greases the handbrake linkage though.

Pound to a penny your problem is due to contaminated friction pads in the stabiliser and/or a dirty tow ball. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

Before each trip you need to thoroughly deglaze the pads with fine emery cloth and then clean off the dust with brake cleaner, meths or an alcohol wipe. Then thoroughly clean the tow ball wiping off all dust and dirt before hitching caravan to car.

Lidl's glasses cleaning wipes are good for this purpose.

PS the cleaning with brake cleaner etc is vital
