Evenly distributed load, correct noseweight, correct tyre pressures on caravan and tow vehicle. Using your
friction damper (AlKo or Winterhoff) make sure the ball is clean (no grease, paint, or preservative) and give
the pads an occasional wipe with brake cleaner to remove any build up of dust. Off you go take care!

And make sure you secure your electrical cable so it doesn't drag on the ground. (Very inconvenient, very expensive to put right and potentially very dangerous to you and other road users.)

Don't forget to secure the jockey wheel out of harms way and if you have a motor mover make sure to disengage it.

Got the Tshirt on both of those, oh and the cable drag.

Don't be tempted to put grandma in the caravan because it's a bit of a squeeze in the car.

If she happens to peer out of one of the front windows while you're looking in the rear view mirror it'll scare you to death.
