Fitting a Reich Motor Mover to Puck

I've got hold of a Reich Economy Motor mover for our 1992 Puck - I've seen photos of Pucks with these fitted, I can find the adapter plates I might need but nowhere can I find an account of anyone who has fitted one. It looks like a job I'd be happy to do as its heavy but very straight forward.

Has anyone experience of fitting this mover to a Puck?

Do I need an adapter plate? I've found ones for 'Eriba Touring' and 'Eriba Puck' but I've also read some comments of not needing an adapter but installing it upside down due to the lack of space under the floor which having spent half an hour on the garage floor would seem a good way forward. (if the motors are DC the wiring can be reversed to correct operation. OR is it a matter of using the adapter plates AND installing it upside down?

All thoughts advice and suggestions welcome!
