Flooding in France

BBC reporting that 1600 campers have been evacuated from campsites in the Drome, Ardeche and Gard regions due to severe flooding following torrential rainfall after the prolonged hot weather.

One German camper is missing.

Apparently he was there supervising a group of children on holiday, took refuge in his caravan and was swept away by the flood waters.

His van was found smashed to bits downriver and divers are currently searching for his body.

All our favourite sites in the three regions mentioned are situated by rivers - makes you think.

More shockingly they said on the radio that the site wasn't authorized and was on a flood zone.
