Gas Locker Door

Can anyone shed light on how to remove the black hairy caterpillar that runs around the inside of the integral gas locker door on my 2006 Troll? I want to access the screws to remove the surround so I can replace the aluminium panel.

If you think I'm going to go out and investigate in this weather, you've got another thing coming but it sounds to me like Woolpile or Finseal. Either way, there will be a point around the aluminium where it was fed in and it might have been crimped. That's also the way to get it out.

Thanks Roger. You stay in and have another Guinness Will investigate tomorrow to see if I can find the access point. Glad the Troll is back in the barn out of the sun
