Hiding unsightly hole

A previous owner had fitted a large coat hanger in the bulkhead beside the toilet door, after removing it I was left with 2 unsightly holes.

The solution was to fit a caravan or marine clock to cover one of them but I didn't want anything that protruded too far into the living space.
In the end I decided to fit a movement behind the bulkhead and just the hands and a face transfer on the front.

The only problem was the 15mm thickness of the bulkhead was the same as the longest clock spindle available leaving no thread protruding for the nut, I overcame this by drilling the hole 2mm under-size and screwing the movement through the wood.
