Hi there, I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Puck L. Before we take it out on its summer travels, I'd like to get it serviced. I think the previous owner said he always used an Eriba approved service company.

What's recommended when finding someone to service it? I'm based in Warrington and I just called a local approved company who quoted me £149 for a habitation check and £219 for a mechanical service. Does this sound reasonable?? I've got no idea but it seems a tad steep.

Should I be looking for someone approved or does that matter less since it's long out of warranty?

John is based in Heswall, so he's only around 40 mins from Warrington

Just a quick update to say thanks for the input. We took the van to John, who did a fine job on it for a fair price. There were quite a few bits that needed doing, including the damper and two wheel bearings. Driving to Heswall gave me some towing practice (we're brand new to it).

John and his wife are really lovely, gave us some helpful tips and made a good brew too.

We're a step closer to going away for its first trip. Hurrah :)
