Hook up

Just about to purchase a 10m hookup cable. Any views on whether this has to be 2.5mm or whether 1.5mm is sufficient?

2.5mm is the one to go for, and I'd advise 25m not 10m.
Having said that we do however carry a 1.5mm lead but it's 45m long for use abroad as hook-ups can be a far distance away. They are more often rated at a far lower amperage so all good. I couldn't lift a 45m length of 2.5mm 3 core.

I have a 25m lead (which I think is 2.5mm) but this new lead is partly a potential extension for upcoming European trip but also to have a lightweight option for home trips. There is much discussion on various forums about sizes and colours but I think I’ll go with your suggestion and get the 2.5mm.
