A warning about your uploaded photos

Photos from most phones/tables include hidden information (metadata).

Importantly one element of that data is the exact location of where the photo was taken (geotagging). An unscrupulous person could use it for their own advantage.

It can be removed before uploading or you can disable the feature before taking the photo.

Yes, I seem to remember one of our members was able to read the make of the camera, the date and location of the picture and also the computer program I used to reduce the size of the picture. He used it only to demonstrate that it could be done. I was amazed.

Gosh that's a bit of an eye opener. Never thought of it before but am thinking I will most probably edit quite a few posts now!
