Can anyone advise on towing with VW Tiguan 1.4tsi 125bhp towing eriba 420 gt having checked out what towcar it says it is a perfect match just would like some more reassurance from fellow members.

I tow a 430 with a 120bhp petrol turbo 999cc, I can assure you, you won�t have any problems at all. I can sit in 6th gear on a motorway on most inclines, and can get out at a junction a bit sharpish if I need to

At least one member on the forum has the 1.4 engine in a Seat, but I think it is a 150bhp output. The 1.4 engine is common across the VAG range, in either 125 or 150 bhp. I have the later 1.5 version in my Audi A3 with 150bhp and I'm impressed. Your progress will not be so brisk but your tow should be more stable due to the higher weight of the tow vehicle. You should have no concerns.
