Hello everybody
We've just purchased an Eriba Famila 310 and so are selling our Puck... I've just got the awning out to make sure it's OK from when we last used it in October and one of the welded poles has unwelded itself!
I've been to a welder who said he couldn't do so I've got a few questions...
a) Have I been given the right advice, is it so hard to weld a couple of poles back together (the pole hasn't broken, it's literally just the welding that has come undone/ apart/ loose!).
b) What's the chance of getting replacement poles?
c) Does anybody have a set of poles they're not using :-D

The awning itself is in really good condition so I wanted to be able to sell the Puck with it's original awning..

Thanks for reading

Nic

Edited to include pictures incase it helps. The last photo is an image of how it's supposed to look (it's the frame on the other side)IMG_2647.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

The first question is steel or aluminium poles? How thin is the metal, if it’s too thin welding may blow a hole in it. Steel will be easier to weld, aluminium is a specialist weld. Maybe find a friendly garage with a MIG welder as they are used to working on thinner material or a steel fabricator. My hubby welded our pole when it broke (steel pole).

Your poles are steel and a decent welder should have no problem. Find another welder and you should be fine.
