New Triton-electrics
We just got our Eriba on Thursday and after resolving the gas issue which my husband posted about last night due to members knowledge of all things Eriba we are now at a campsite and have connected to the mains supply. Fridge is working when switched to power supply (rather than battery or gas) but none of the sockets are working. Is there something that needs to be switched on or off? We have tried with the 12v switch on and off and it makes no difference and we have switched the motor mover isolator switch on and off and again no joy. Any suggestions appreciated. Would have posted under iana1212 but password saved on tablet which only connects to internet at home!

Are you sure the EHU bollard is switched on. I've stayed at a number of places where the RCD on the bollard were off when we arrived. I've never been able to work out whether previous occupants turned it off as they left, or that they automatically flicked off when disconnected.

Hook up was showing that it was working but neighbour came out and explained that the hookup at this site required a twist after inserting the connector and that this was the only site he had come across that needed that. Summary is that we are now working! Thanks again for all that responded. Didn’t have any of these issues with the caravan we had before for the last 5 years but there is always a learning curve and hopefully we have ironed out the major wrinkles. Still pleased we went with an Eriba!

Eckcan, The easiest but the hardest thing to do sometimes is to ask for help if there is someone else around you. We have all been there and only by experience do we get there in the end.

Virtually all CMC sites use the bollards where you have to twist the connector.
Having used CMC sites almost exclusively between 2006 and 2014, we then spent 2014 to 2018 using non CMC sites which didn't use that system. Then in 2018, with a different van we started using CMC sites again and at the first one I had to ask the warden why I couldn't get mains electricity. He gently reminded me about twisting the connector and all was fine.
