Cadac frying pan and puck awning - securing

Hello
We had a our first adventure with the puck in Derbyshire in spectacular weather. I even managed to reverse the caravan without jack knifing (several hours of YouTube!).

We would like some advice on two things
1. Is there a cadac grip / handle / tong for holding and lifting the frying plate? We are using the Trangia tongs (see photos).
2. We attached out Isabella awning, and there appears to be two holes, one on the puck and other on the awning that should have something to stop the awning sliding - any ideas?

Thank you in advance - I do enjoy seeing the threads and see photos of adventures. ....

I used to have a Cadac Safari Chef, but I don’t remember anything to lift the fry pan. If it’s hot, I would just leave it to cool down on the Cadac, otherwise you have to find something to rest it on that won’t burn!

The photo you show of the awning rail is a fixing point for the Isabella side poles.

I too was pondering why you'd need to use a handle on the Cadac plate. We just leave it to go cold.

The fitting on the awning rail is for attaching a piece of awning pole. It's often used for the bottom fixing point of a short central pole that lifts the awning roof up above awning rail height, but has been known to be used in other ways.

I had nothing to do on this hot afternoon

Hi,
You don’t say what sort of Isabella awning you have, but if it’s the very simple “Shadow” then you can just use short lengths of cord from the eyelets at each end of the awning to the corresponding mountings on the rail and then adjust to fasten the awning exactly where you want it so it doesn’t slide out of place.
