I am always far too easily drawn into "making improvements". It's the designer in me...
Aha, but do you have the "stubble" to go with it? I grew mine out but Mrs R has still got hers

Bottle version of spout made, looks, er, nasty.

After some thought, IKEA cutting board version using one of the flexible cheap plastic boards I was throwing out. I think this might work, but will not know for 6 weeks. 20mm hole 40mm down from top edge in centre of board. 4 x 6mm holes, 2 at 12mm in and 12mm up from bottom corners, 2 at about 45mm in and 45mm up. Cable tie of choice.

The idea is sit the board on top of central pole. I'll have one of my Tectum couplings Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125617354589?...AAOSwE5ljdhivon the pole top first so it sits better. pull canvas over the top and peg down as normal with the cord running through the folded over bottom of the chute. Hopefully the cord will be pulled tight against the chute and the water will get a better chance of running down the cord.
I suppose you could slide a pipe over the tube and end of the chute.
You could also use the idea on the two end poles if you prefer to have them low and the centre pole high.

I like it Colin - makes mine look terribly , terribly small... give us feedback when you get a chance to try it out.
Attachedis another photo of mine in the making phase. The pipe is 19mm internal diameter, so should handle a reasonable flow of water, without looking too "huge".
Off again at the end of August, so will try mine out then.

Can't find a picture of ours but we no longer need to use it with the 3600mm awning. With an added centre ridge pole we can always keep it in the "ridge high" position so the water runs off the corner poles.
What about adapting something like this which could also be handy for other uses while on holiday?

I have now managed to find and buy a NetFront Extension, which will change the dynamic yet again. Although it's probably unlikely to be up in wet weather. Thunderstorms, perhaps? I get what you mean about the centre ridge pole, Roger. With the extra 2' height extension to our centre upright (not all that height used) and the pole across to the caravan, I think shooting water off to left and right will be a better option. Which might mean two outlet pipes....
The problem is the water pooling just where you are camping - anything that gets it away is beneficial. Even gravelled hardstandings don't shed the water that well. They are, often, clearly too compacted when they are made. When we were away on our first trip this year, it chucked it down just after putting up the Shadow. The water then all collected from all the edges of the gravel patch to just where we had the entrance door; the gravel ending up underneath a couple of inches of water at that lowest point.

Well, I managed to find - and buy - a secondhand (very good condition) NetFront, but have yet to try it out.
However, what I did try out was a new end panel for my Shadow. This is an EasyCamp Voss Vehicle Awning for £45. It's 2m long by 2.6m wide. It comes with a Keder beading (two different sizes, in fact) along the top edge, which allows me to use the Isabella Single-Click Awning Profiles on the horizontal poles I have to go with my Shadows. I feed it through two of those "tracks" and then into the caravan awning rail for extra coverage - tying down is easy as there are guys and eyelets at all corners and in the top centre. It also comes with steel poles, which I chucked in the garage. It's light and worked a treat last weekend in both strong sun and occasional light showers.
