I'm sure JohnE will give you a definitive answer. I'd expect your original charger and battery to be fine, but I think 80amp/hr is the minimum you could get away with using. The frightening bit is the price, probably £1200 upwards depending upon make.

Hi Chris

As Eriba owners we appear to be rather limited as to what will fit. We had ours fitted when we bought the van and we had a choice of a number of Reich products to pick from. This has lasted just under 10 years. As a replacement we have again we have been pointed in the direction of Reich as apparently they fit our Eribas better - I have assumed that this is true.

If you go on the Midland Motor Mover website and click on Reich it shows you the range. They're not cheap............! The prices shown are for if you buy the mover from them & fit it yourself or get someone to do it for you. If they do the job and come to your home to do it the price increases. We were going for the Basic one initially as our old one seemed to have similar features.

However as recently I was finding it harder to manually wind out the mover wheel that fits onto the tyre, we have decided to bite the bullet and go for an automatic one. Hopefully this was see us through our final years as Eriba folk - the thinking was as Kath is a fair few years younger than me she may need to take over the towing and the auto would be easier for her.

Our original battery worked the mover OK until earlier this year. It started to struggle so we had a new battery fitted - the update of the original Varta one. Our caravan servicer was a bit stunned that the original one had lasted since 2016

Good luck

Many thanks for replies gents. It is something we have to give serious consideration to for next year. We have a further 2 trips planned here this year but may consider traveling to the UK next year and having a pair fitted.
