Wednesday 16th
From Daisy bank to Barcdy.
Well what a trip that was with bends that got tighter and tighter
Then there was the bit with a 20% climb in 3rd gear followed by a 20% downhill run.
Here I am parked in a layby 1\2 way down.......

There were several showers on the way and I arrived in the rain..................after about an hour or so it cleared up and after setting up I sat outside with a beer and enjoyed the sunshine.

Hi John already been to Harlech castle and Criccieth castle last time I was here so I thought visit the one on Anglesey
Thursday 17th July
Woke up to glorious sunshine and after pottering for awhile set off for the isle of Anglesey over Telfords Menai bridge and on to Beaumaris to have a look at the castle
beaumaris-castle
Then lunch in a cafe in the town and a walk along the seafront and a sit on the sea wall before returning to the car for the 80 min drive back to the van.
Arrived back a little after 4.00 to find the temp inland was 26 deg and in my sheltered spot on site it was close to 30 deg, Its still 23 deg outside at 8.00pm

Friday 18th July
Rather a rude awakening at 06.00 this morning with a big thunder storm going over, no point in going back to sleep so I got up and made a cup of tea.
Already been to a lot of places having spent 2 weeks in the area a few years back so looking at google earth last night decided just to take a run up the A5 and stare at the scenery camera in hand.
So today I became a layby lurker
driving 61 miles just to stop in laybys and have dinner in a cafe along the way.
Bearing in mind that I am moving on in the morning and the weather tomorrow is not looking good to say the least I am spending time today doing as much as I can to pack ready to leave in case there is another storm in the morning.
Pictures from laybys

Saturday 19th July
From Barcdy to Bickerton Poacher
Well that was a ride and a half, as forecast it started raining at 07.30
I set off at about 10.15 and had a good trip for the first 50 or so miles then suddenly I entered the cloud base and visibility was down to about 50 feet …...............after about 4 miles of that it cleared and things went well again for a short while …..................then as I turned on to a dual carriageway it rained so hard I could hardly see the car in front and most people were doing about 30 mph except the odd nutter who obviously had x ray vision.
Anyway I did eventually arrive safely …............still in the rain at around 12.00
Reversing onto my pitch was fun but I did manage to do it at the third attempt.

I,m in the pub for dinner now after listening to the cricket in the van this afternoon.

Sunday 20th July
From Bickerton Poacher to Woodland Caravan Park
http://www.woodlandcaravanpark.co.uk/
Well I'm definitely back in England and the A class roads sometimes scare me stiff and I would never managed without my tom tom
Also got lots of tv channels (hardly got any tv in Wales)
Arrived safely to what seems to be a very pleasant site in among the trees ….......again 3 attempts to back onto my pitch. No wind and a dry forecast so I elected to set up the Wigo sunshade as its all I have to use now.
After setting up cooked tea in the awning while listening to the cricket.
Now inside to watch the grand prix highlights
