Camping Mousley Farm Hatton near Warwick.
Nice campsite in very rural surroundings. Large pitches and a very carefree attitude from owners.
Good toilet facilities but not state of the art. Also tow outside showers with hot water. There are inside showers too.
No WIFI
Here are two upside down pictures.

Rip off Britain ( again)
As I said yesterday, a nice campsite with basic facilities. The outdoor showers took a bit of getting used to but it saves a lot of cleaning as it's built on grass with fencing panels. Very hot water.
The indoor showers however were cold this morning.
All this luxury for £28 per night in September. That's greater than C & MC prices and we had to pay full wack for the campsite when we booked.
No wonder the management is friendly.
(Nice grassy pitches though, at least while it's sunny)

Hatton Locks.
A great place to visit for a couple of hours.
Car park available £1:50 for 2 hours.
Nice cafe at the top of the flight.
A flight of 21 locks (double width) on the Grand Union Canal.
Talking with several of the boat crews they day the biggest flight is 33 in Derbyshire (?) and the one in Devices shifts the most water, it being a 29 flight double lock system.
Here are some upside down photos.

Arggg. SPROGS.
A very quiet morning and early afternoon at the campsite until about 5pm. when car after car arrived with tents and sprogs. Many of them obviously know one another and at least six of the tents are women and children without the sight of any males at all.
There are footballs galore, frisbees and swing balls.
Fortunately the weather is lousy.

Well look at that. Rubbish photo coz I gor my thumb in the way but by turning the phone through 180% ans having the button on the right they have come out the correct way around.
I'm sure I tried this earlier in the year without success.
Also I'm a really happy bunny as I've managed to get my newer tablet onto 4G by way of my phone.
Note to self:- Welcome to the 21st century

Yesterday we had a pleasant drive down the Fosse Way from Warwick to Cirencester. About 90 minutes on a really great road. Even enjoyed the several waits at the traffic lights in Morton in Marsh and other small towns.
We are now at The C and MC site in Cirencester (Cirencester Park Club Site) and full marks on a couple of accounts.
1) We bought a year's worth of C and MC Wifi last August (2020) as we toured using several on their sites. Probably due to covid restrictions, itwould appear that the Club have extended the 12 month period to take into account the fact that members have not been able to use the campsites and the wifi so much. We are still able to use the Wifi we bought last year.
2) The way many members have slated the approach road and lane to this site is not justified. Yes the short stretch of road is potholed by not to the extend that it deserves the amount of criticism it gets.
Yes the lane is narrow with passing places but lanes often are, hence the description "lane".
3) very much like the Club sites in Brixham and Brecon, it is a large site but it has a wealth of trees and shrubs and the access roads to the various pitches is very meandering giving it a Park like setting.
Yes, we would recommend it. Sundays evidently, are very busy and the first arrivals are asked not to turn up before 1pm. This made for a very congested parking area and booking in reception but the staff handled it well so full marks to them. Not a jobsworth in site. Two large clean toilet blocks with staggered cleaning times and evidently a 15 minute walk through the park to the centre of town.
very large emplacements. We are very happy. However, for all the fuss of phones and 4G over the past week, the 3G /4G signals are non existent.

This 320 is parked at the other end of the site but we didn't wish to disturb them as they were having a lively "debate" about putting up their awning. Anybody we know?
