Perhaps a lot of you already know this but we were taken completely by surprise. La Suisse Normande must be one of France's best kept secrets. We went last weekend for a 3-night break. We stayed at the campsite just outside Clécy in the Calvados. Camping les Rochers des Parcs. https://www.camping-normandie-clecy.eu/ Just south of Caen.
There is masses to do if you like outdoor activities - from cycling, rock climbing, zip wires, walking, kayaking, electric boats....... and we also found some great museums and local artists to see and chateaux to visit.
At the campsite, we were lucky enough to be given a riverbank pitch.

The restaurants opposite were very pretty in the evening with the lights on.
