parasassi.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)Hello, my Triton 430 does not have a rudder cover or side stone guards. I would like to put everything but I can't find the spare parts and the cost in Italy. Can anyone give me directions to be able to evaluate if it is possible to make the change and the cost? thank you

I cannot recall seeing them available as a retro fit. I believe the best way forward would be to make a template of the shape you want in card and then approach a campervan conversion company or possibly a boat builder for a quote to source the parts and fit them.

The front hitch cover /rudder cover can be bought made in aluminium from a member on here, Adrian Reeves - search for "Front Draw Bar Cover". I have done the conversion and it's much better than the plastic original. Unfortunately I have recently thrown away the original.

The side stone guards should be simple to make - they are thin aluminium sheet, which should be readily available in any European country. A very similar sheet is available from this company in the UK - they may be able to help. It is known as Stucco pattern embossed aluminium and comes as a 2440mm x 1220mm sheet.:

Are there no Eriba/Hymer dealers in Italy to ask?

Most dealers are only good at "new" Eribas, in my experience. Kool Classics at least have interest in older vans and understand them - they have sourced some parts for me from Hymer that took some searching for. They do also list some older spares on their website. Including A-frame covers for Alko chassis (£61) and BPW chassis (£880 - gulp)

Yes, Steamdrivenandy, I tried. They always told me they are no longer in production for my model. I asked if others could be adapted but no response.

Do you know if they are active? I made a request in their chat but they haven't responded yet. Do you have any other references?

Yes, absolutely - probably very busy at this time of year preparing vans for the Spring!. I always email them - info@koolclassics.com - and they reply very quickly.

Let me know if you still hear nothing and I'll give them a ring.

Shame we didn't get going on this earlier as Italian speaking friends of mine are heading off shortly to Eastern Europe via Italy in their massive camper van and they would have happily transported some bits for you.

cheers, Simon

Thanks again for the suggestion. They responded immediately. Unfortunately they don't have stone guards, they seem to be impossible to find. They have the rudder cover but it only looks like the plastic part and not the metal fitting, but they have to give me an answer.

On this site https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/h...121527-223-6362 I found the rudder cover, but it is for a Famila. According to your experts, could it also be good for my Tritone 430?

Hello Giancarlo.

To the best of my knowledge, the front elevation of a 2003 Triton will be the same as a 2003 Familia. I would like a couple of others to back me up on this however..

Here are some links to our friends at Eriba Caravan Sales and I "borrowed" a couple of photos to see the front elevation of a 2003 Triton alongside that of a 2003 Familia.
