Shock absorbers Eriba Puck 1992

Note from Alko website that the 'Green' shock absorbers are suitable for a 1994 onwards chassis. Does anyone know if they are suitable for the 1992 Eriba Puck? Thanks for any advice that can be given.

And for BPW chassis I found this on Forumeribatouring:-

Yes please.

The thing that I'm not certain of is whether they increased the weight when they introduced the 1994/1995 changes to the Puck ( recognisable by the white finish with either green stripes or purple stripes). However, ALKO are implying that the green shock absorber is good for anything up to 900kg.

Think they may have gone up to 550 or 600 Kg some time, but nowhere near 900Kg

Thanks for help so far. Reply from ALKO is - "Does your vehicle have the pre drilled holes as per the instruction manual? If it doesn’t then these wont fit. As per fig 5 http://www.al-ko.com/shop/media/uploads/...k_Absorbers.pdf ". Yet to look to find out about 'pre-drilled holes' so will try to find time to dive under there at some point during the week or be lazy and ask our mechanic if he knows! Will let you know of progress but hope the link in the ALKO message might help others dealing with this essential task.
Think states that up to 900 kg. for single axles and 1300 kg. for double axle vans.

Thanks for the information.

What's interesting is that the pics used for the fitting instructions is of an ALKO Caravan Chassis whereas the Eriba has a "T" Pole chassis.

I just looked at mine and the swing arms fitted to the ends of the "T" pole are the same as the pictures and have the same brackets connecting the shock absorbers to the Eriba chassis, so a direct swap I think.

Thanks for that info. Currently waiting for our mechanic to recover from illness so still not sure if they will fit but fingers crossed. Have purchased some on understanding can return if need be. Will let you know outcome.

Have original brochure in front of me and it records axle as ALKO/FTT. As a novice to such things can anybody clarify that the chassis is Alko and also what is a T-pole hitch???
Interesting facts: Lake Garda we met the man who had carried our Puck on a lorry with three others to UK from France when it was imported. In Sicily we met a man who as a boy had tested the Eriba Puck with his family as his parents were friends of Hymer. What are the chances of that?! :)

Another visit beneath the caravan is clearly required - becoming quite familiar with the cold concrete beneath our car port and the neighbours are beginning to talk!! : ) Thank you for clarifying and improving my learning curve.
