Mini Mover - has anyone any experience of these ?

Hello all,
We have a rather difficult parking spot for our 310 in our garden, it requires a bit of manual labour each time we park it up, no need to go the the gym after it you could say. I came across this and wondered if anyone had any experience of them. Quite inexpensive.

This type of mover is not a new idea, hitch and jockey wheel mounted movers have been around for many year, particularly in America.
We had a [now no longer trading] Bigfoot. Another make was Mr Shifta. They are generally too heavy to carry around and best kept at home.
The biggest problem is that they are only suitable for use on hard dry ground, preferably level and you also need a very high nose weight. Without these factors you will not be able to get traction.
As I said above, I previously owned one. Think long and hard before buying.

Thanks for that Colin,
We tick most of the boxes and it would only be for use here at home but perhaps the nose weight would be a problem ?? Inexpensive but perhaps not so if it does'nt work. Interesting to see if anyone actually tried one. Nobody here to supply and fit the specialist movers so that's not an option. Guess I'll join the local gym if an effort to ready up for the coming season.

I had something similar called a mr Shifter, due to the light nose weight it was useless, it just use to wheel spin when it encountered any slight incline or soft ground

Where do you live? Getting a mover fitted is really a life-changer. It makes life on campsites such a pleasure!!!

Hi Islay,
Ireland ! According to the ( not Eriba related ) caravan dealers here that I spoke with, the Eriba movers are rather specialised and not available.
There are no Eriba Agents in Ireland.

Chris, any mover fitted to an Eriba needs special brackets. Reich do produce them, so a caravan engineer or competent other person should be able to fit them. If you use the forum search facility you may be able to find the part number. If you are really lucky then JohnE will be along and steer you in the correct direction.

Ours wasnt fitted by an Eriba specialist. Anyone who sells caravans can fit one! They're not exclusive to our vans after all.

John E posted a couple of brilliant posts that we showed to the dealer who just got on with it. The make he fitted is Truma Go https://www.obelink.fr/truma-go2-deplace...ane-602922.html
