Neufchâte-en-bray, France - very pretty site with a Brasserie and fresh bread in the morning. Van + 2 + dog + electric - £17 all in. Where are all the CMC fees going?

I agree. We are currently at Le Moulin Fort, Francueil in The Loire. 19 euros and a glorious large riverside pitch, 2 adults, electric and free Wi-Fi at reception. I'm using my booster to pinch Wi-Fi from the site across the river, 150m away as I can get this on my pitch.

Edit - I've just had a wander around and noticed pitch occupancy rate must be close to 90%.When we turned up two days ago I was surprised to see it looked so busy at around 70%.
UK account for about 40%, the remainder I guess an equal mix of French, NL and German. Yesterday I booked 12 days for next June on a riverside pitch as only 5 were still available.

Also this evening we had a three course meal with wine (plus an extra glass each with pudding) all for for £45! The food was superb. Not sure we could duplicate that in Blighty.

Neufchatel-en-bray tonight - van + 2 + dog + electric - lake and river swimming . Nice site with very private hedge-enclosed pitches. Supermarket 10 mins. Bar Restaurant 5 mins. Facilities are a bit basic but very clean. £15 a night!

How did you do that Ray, just checked it out online. Norwich for 7 nights, old gits discount totalled £168. Either I�m doing something wrong or youv�e got friends in high places 😁

Grass only pitches had a 30% discount at the time of booking for our dates.

30% still doesn't explain your price though. ??

Now at C&CC Rhandirmwym (nr Llandovery Wales) - 25% off for mid week + ACR (hard standing with EHU) 14 nights = £266.00 (£19.00 per night). Very quiet and very well kept. Then booked in at CC&C Blackmore (Malvern) - same concessions as above (but grass with EHU) 8 nights = £170.52 (£21.32 per night). Possibly could have got 30% off for grass pitch. Not too bad I think.
