Has anyone found there wheel bearings run hot after torqueing the One Shot Nuts up to 290 newton metres?

I thought the bearings that have a one shot nut are parallel roller bearings. They shouldn't bind up with high torque. I'd be looking at brakes not quite adjusted properly for the source of heat.

Yes Ray. Our older Troll has tapered bearings so no "one shot nuts".

the older ones are castellated nuts with split pin through https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castellated_nut

its normally the brake binding that overheats bearing, however if bearings have been in service constant use the chrome can wear off.
taper roller bearings can overheat with over tightening.
