Just looked up the ALKO Type 1 Hitch Lock and it comes up with this picture:-

In the description it says it's "Suitable for fitment to AKS 2004/3004 Stabilisers" Like this:-

OK. Time to ask a question and at the same time perhaps clarify what Chasnick are selling. Is it this one?
Alko Touring Hitch Lock For Sale.

Many Eriba owners have an ALKO 1300 fitted like this one (we do):-

And the hitch lock fitted is this one:-

Wnich looks the same as the Type 1 Hitch Lock above.

Are they the same I wonder?

So, after a Facebook question regarding ALKO locks but not the question I asked above, I came across the following videos. The first one shows a lady fitting what she calls an ALKO 3004 lock which looks identical to my ALKO 1300 lock.

(the company who posted this Video won't allow anyone to copy it so you'll have to click the link above to view).

The second video shows an ALKO Premium Hitch Lock. I've not come across one of these before. Does anyone use one?

Roger, something deep in my grey matter tells me the mounting plates differ between the two "basic" locks that look similar.
I have not seen the Premium, but like the look of it and may well try and source one when they become available at a sensible price.

I use the Premium Alko hitchlock on my 3004 hitch. It’s an excellent piece of kit, much stronger than the previous version (Red). It’s Sold Secure approved which is why I bought it as required by my insurance (Saga).

There's one for sale on Ebay now - £50, or offer - collection from Gloucester only...

And another - collection only - for £65 or offer at Doncaster.

That's the version to fit a 3004 (1 730 541) - the one to fit a 1300 has a different part number (1 730 540)

Prices are high for the ones to fit a 1300 - I guess they are "old" now.
