Winterhoff Hitch query

Trying to find out if the towball should be dry or greased when using a Winterhoff hitch ???

It should be used dry. It is a friction hitch like the Alko. We had one on our BPW chassis Eriba 310GT and much prefferd it to the Alko unit we have had on other Eribas.

Yes definitely dry. Make sure the friction pads are cleaned. Also make sure the towball is degreased and free of any coating (with emery paper 200 - 240 grit). The towball should be bright metal.

If you have a Winterhoff WS3000 then if it helps I have a manual.The marks on top of the hitch are wear indicators.
