Extension pipe for waste water outlet

Your help and advise please. On the odd occasion when pitching our Triton, the waste water pipe outlet sits slightly higher than our waste water collection tank; the result being a less than efficient waste water collection? I have tried several DIY and plumbing suppliers but cannot find an extension piece of the required diameter (35mm).

I am sure one of you has a simple practical solution and I would appreciate your guidance please?

Thank you in anticipation

Laurence

Have you tried a Caravan and/or Motorhome supplier. The 35mm size you mentioned is a standard fitting and I'm guessing that you already have the elbow fitted to the outlet if it's the same as our 430. If so, simply pull out the too short piece and replace it with a longer length.

Thank you Deeps, my next port of call is a Caravan/Motorhome supplier and it may come to implementing your suggestion. Thank you for your response.

I carry a short length of corrugated waste pipe in the gas locker and just push one end onto the outlet pipe and put the other end inside the waste tank.

That's exactly the same as I do.

Maybe not much help, but I had the same problem, with the waste pipe falling short of the container. I found a plumbing accessory in B&Q, which, having been shortened slightly, fits perfectly on the U-shaped waste pipe. This waste pipe will pull off easily, anyway, so I have the extension fitted to it permanently, and just remove the whole thing for travelling.DSC00775.JPG - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

Another solution, I use a bucket and leave the proper waste container at home. Bucket's taller, simples

I tried that but the bucket was too tall so I cut 2 inches off it, if you try that be sure to cut it off the bottom so you don't cut the handle off, for some reason it never seems to need emptying

I recall someone getting into trouble once for suggesting that we each drill a calibrated hole in the bottom of our waste water tanks to allow the contents to soak into the ground overnight thereby saving us the chore of having to empty the tanks before leaving the site.

When I first read it I laughed out loud but recall someone failing to see the joke and getting quite upset at this environmental vandalism.
