Is anybody with a basic Elsan toilet having trouble with the new type Elsan fluid?
It seems that you have to renew the fluid nearly every day, which was not the case about 3/ 4 years ago.
Has anybody got any ideas on the subject? I have used Thetford fluid with the same result!!

Our toilet an old a bucket and chuck it type Elsan!! With no flush.

Our flush doesn't work so i use a bottle of water.

We use bio tabs the kind you buy for your washing machine. Lots of people on the Caravan Club site have had success with them but usually in flush type Thetford toilets. Just pop one in the holding tank or bucket.

We use the Elsan double concentrated pink and blue. We don't have any problems with smells even in hot weather. I have a small spray bottle with some diluted pink fluid which we use to clean and sanitise around the toilet.

I made a rule when we bought our Eriba, whoever uses the toilet empties and cleans it, never been used in 10 years.

We bought it in the Netherland just before the Brexit vote so saved more that £2000 anyway, but as we go away for 3 months at a time the space is useful as a wardrobe [I put a hanging rail in]

I do the washing up and yann empties the loo. Good deal in my book
