Very fair - interesting phrase - "with the campervan it's all about the journey" Totally agree, which is why we went from M/H to Caravan :)

According to the video I have very few of the advantages of a caravan with my puck. Have I made the correct choice then I saw this picture on the MotorCravanners Club website and all was well

The advantage of a motorhome is you only need to lean out of your window to ask your neighbour for some sugar...

Plus you can "Wild Camp" in a car park called an "Aire" in France in your £70K Motor-Home on the cheap! Nice and snuggly!

The "wild camping" comment re Scotland was inaccurate. Lightweight camping is permissible but not with a motorised vehicle. In fact there is quite an anti feeling against motorhomes in many parts of Scotland at present due to the thoughtlessness of some drivers. In fact some islands already ban motorhomes and others (Mull) are considering it. My take on it is that most of the trouble is with people who hire a motorhome and are not used to driving a larger vehicle on our mainly rural roads.

Everyone knows my feelings on large campervans (the M word), and I must admit that after spending 4 weeks in Scotland, my opinion hardened.

This is what the M word did to us in Portugal and didn't admit it . It was only a lean and I couldn't prove it. Suppose a touch more pressure and it could have been a lot worse.

I can't understand why Mrs M word never seems to get out of the cab to direct any manouvers.

Another advantage of a M****home is that if you don't like the toll charge, don't pay it.
