Our friends who live in Fort Collins near Denver reported 10 inches and still falling lunchtime (our time) yesterday. We were sat out enjoying the sunshine, funny old world 🤔

Apparently the snow comes and then goes quite quickly as it�s very dry, no slush to hang around.

When snow or ice "evaporates" directly into water vapour (ie no snow melt) the process is called sublimation. Can happen in UK but it needs very dry air to "soak up" the water vapour quickly enough to by-pass the water stage.
