Thanks for your replies. I did look at an official Eriba fit bike rack and you are correct about the model number. This unfortunately doesn’t equate to either the std or short racks. However I’m sure that the Eriba fit one has to be one or the other with just the bottom plate being special. From your communications with Eriba it sounds like it could be the short one.

Should be a busy week fitting a bike bike rack and also a towbar and electrics to a Tiguan but here goes !!

Any other guidance from anyone on short or standard Thule racks w ok I’d be welcome before I press the order button !!
