The small gas ring has come away showing screw pillar has rusted and snapped can this be repaired or do I need a new hob. Thank you

If the burner cap screws have sheared off and there isn't enough screw to be gripped then the burner will have to be replaced.

No need to buy a complete hob - the screws and burner parts are available but you'll need the hob's product number (hopefully found on the rating label underneath) to find the correct parts.
