Can we get the terminology right here.

Since the term was coined a few years back it has always meant staying at home and going out for day trips. Somehow, since Covid became a thing it's been turned into staying the the UK for a holiday. Now I'm sorry that's a Scotcation, a Welshcation or an Engcation but not a staycation.

That would be a GBcation not a UKcation :)

Ukcation is easier to say.

Sorry I missed out a NIcation for the whole UK.

Thinkin' on, I bet very few have a full UKcation. If you visit NI you might travel from Scotland, England or Wales for a ferry you're unlikely to pass through all four nations. Theoretically someone from Wales could ignore Holyhead, Pembroke and Fishguard and drive into England and up to Stranraer to get a ferry across to NI. That would be a real UKcation.

Which begs the question.

If anyone was to cross from the UK mainland into NI. How are they then fixed for travelling into the whole of Ireland and enjoying the rest of that beautiful country. Would/could the same current restrictions apply?
