canopy advice

we are looking to order a sun canopy or awning for our soon to be on order Troll 530 - I keep seeing optional Eriba weather strip listed do I need this? I am assuming this is to duct away the water between the awning and the caravan if so is it effective? Also any advice on best awning? thanks

Nothing will eliminate the wicking or drips of water running down the side of an Eriba, but the weather strip does help with an awning where it will rise vertically from the awning/gutter strip. I do not use one with a sunshade/canopy.
I've owned the genuine Eriba which is good, as is the more readily available Seals Direct. The Kampa version is a disaster. Do not buy it.
