Just a word of caution, I removed our caravan store off our Troll last month and half of the beading split from the plastic bag.
It is about 6 years old but the stitching was rotten. It’s now in the bin! Hate to think what would have happened if it had come undone while travelling.It was on the near side perhaps it escaped my notice how badly it had deteriorated. It seemed ok last summer, I am now the owner of a Shadow, no worries and much lighter,!

Hi Colin mine is stored indoors as well, the only thing I may have done to contribute is that I sprayed the beading with some Fabsil the previous summer as I had noticed the bag was always wet inside after rain.
I had some left over from a few years ago, perhaps this could have damaged the stitching which seemed to be nylon thread?
Worth checking out though.

It is also possible for the stitching to be damaged when inserting or extracting the Caravanstore if there is a nick or catch in the awning channel itself.

Too much information for me here !
Although I now think I know who to approach when an emergency fan belt is required 😀
