Life Without Jandi

Since the closing of Jandi's where does one buy Eriba spares from?
I have been trying to buy a new right hand rear window stay for my Eriba 430gt.
It seems impossible , main dealers that don't sell spares seem to be every where.
They call themselves Hymer dealers, but do not sell spares.
If anyone could help me out out with this dilema I would be obliged,
you must still be able to buy spare parts some where.
Tomorrow I try with Erwin Hymer Centre, the last name that i have been given.

Tom/Margaret ,
in this instance you are lucky. The window stays are a generic caravan part. Take it off and pop along to your local caravan dealer.
You will find a small hole in the side of the part that fits to the window. Poke a meat skewer into this hole and this should release the slide on fitting. You will be be able to slide the end of the stay off the window leaving the mounting plate behind that is bonded to the window. Then all you need to do is unscrew the two screws that hold the other end to the window surround.

In the case of specialist vehicle specific parts I would e-mail Hymer at <service@service.hymer.com> asking where you could source parts as the UK dealers you have contacted are refusing to supply you.

Thanks Colin, another string to my bow. Unfortunately we do not have a local caravan dealer on the Isle of Wight everything has to come from the mainland. Seeing as there is no name on the window stay it is hard to describe it. I am able to take it off as I have had to do it before when Jandie was around , and a quick call to Jean would have seen me with a new one within a couple of days.. I have tried Hymer service already but they were not much help, having said that I am not sure if I tried the email contact that you gave me and I shall beare that in mind. Anyway thanks for your helap.

Kool Classics should be able to help.

They're nice people and just as much Eriba Touring fanatics as Jean and Sandy plus they've been Hymer authorised dealers for a while now.

For what it may be worth Jean at Jandi has just let me know that Knowepark Caravans are happy to order parts, unlike some other dealers. Person to contact along with VIN No is grant@knowepark.com

Stewart

I posted this last October. Assume it is still relevant as Knowepark are the designated Hymer/Eriba dealer in Scotland.

WBH

You may not be aware but very sadly Jean passed away earlier this year.

Roseisle are another possibility in Scotland as they're listed as an Eriba workshop on the Hymer dealer search web page.

The original post was dated last October.. I met with Sandy a couple of weeks ago. He is shattered but making a determined effort to manage. He is still doing some outstanding repairs but only goes in if the weather is fine and he feels like it. Roseisle are a waste of space and no longer touch Eriba.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t aware that Jean had passed away, she will be sorely missed by us all. I hope Sandy is coping.

Update on Knowpark. I just emailed them looking for a part for a Truma heater. (Thanks Stewart for the heads up on Grant) They responded by return with a recommendation to bypass Hymer and go to a U.K. Truma dealer. They expect to get the part for me within a week. Knowpark was originally recommended to me by Sandy (JANDI) and have been great. Full service and Habitation check for just over £250. This included a full underseal of the van as part of the service. Very impressed.

They did the same service for me a month ago. I too was very impressed with their service, particularly the underseal. Have booked for next year.
