Pop top trim

Has anybody used this company on eBay, to buy the new trim for the pop top surround. My one is starting to sag when we've popped.
Also, what are your thoughts on the colour choices.. black or red?

I've looked at these and thought the red one would go well with our age Triton, as it has blue and red pin striping. But, despite the original strip now having a 6" gap between the two ends, I'm still not rushing to do it. Thinking about it again, I am very tempted. Does anyone know how well these replacement strips last?

Perhaps what I am about to say is not correct. is that space, perhaps, intentional due to the expansion of the material?

We also have the red stripe around our Troll, I will message the seller and see what they say about fit and life expectancy.

This was the reply from the company, all sounds promising.

They are over size, so you just fit and cut back for clean fit. They have internal metal grippers so grip nice and tight, if you not pulling them off should last for years. Colour depends on sunlight I have had the red supplied to a lady from Spain and 2yrs down the line it had gone a lighter pink colour rather than red, but UK should be fine.

We are already quite well known to the Eriba owners as it was through them at the start we got involved with all this after sending various samples they settled on these trims, we supplied a batch FOC for the meet up in Wales a few years ago that were raffled off to raise money for charity.

They have sold very well over the years, only problems we really get is the occasional person who thinks it should be a seal rather than a trim! Otherwise its a nice simple trim that works well and for a change is not made in the far east!

A 50mm gap seems to be on all Eribas, possibly to allow any water to drain when in storage. Red looks great when new but tends to fade with age.

Does it work well as a water seal? because I have read that it is only decorative.

Yeah, look's like it's just a trim.
