Hi we. Are new to caravan in and towing, .We have just ordered our Troll 540 GT.
There is an £800 option for an Anti Skid device. Is it worth it?
Thanks in advance

It's the AlKo ATC system which automatically applies the van brakes if it detects imbalance. I ran two 540's without it and never needed it. One van I had it on I only felt it work once, when the nearside wheel dropped into a deep pothole. A momentary brake application from the rear. I'd say it wasn't necessary but if you load badly and don't drive smoothly it may stop a sway developing. And at present there are no ATC units available as they're made in Ukraine.

Eriba are very stable to tow. I cannot recall seeing one advertised for sale with this option, so I think that says something.

I'd never buy it - our 3 Tritons have all been rock steady and utterly stable on the road. But then our tow cars have all been substantial...

Graham, make sure your dealer gives you a "last changes to build date" so you can tweak the specification if needed.
