Hello, just joined the group as we’re considering buying an Eriba for our small family. Currently working out the practicalities of owning a caravan and which model would suit us best - two old parents with an active 6 year old son. Looking forward to being part of this group and learning more about this fabulous camper.

Welcome to the forum and nice to hear we have another potential convert. If your car can tow 1200/1300kg I'd advise looking at the Trolls.

Thanks Colin. We have a Toyota RAV4 petrol hybrid. Made sure we purchased the all wheel drive version as the towing limit is 1650kg (1400kg at 85%). So a Troll looks like a good option for us as a family. The normal front wheel drive version limit was 800kg (680kg at 85%) - amazing given it’s size!

Toyota and Honda in particular dropped a clanger when going hybrid, so much so that folk are not buying the Honda until they resolve the max tow limit for the next model.
Best of luck with your search for a van. Just keep asking questions and you'll get lots of good advice.
