Belly band

I was looking at some Eribas on Saturday and noticed that the "Belly Bands" (Is that what you call them?) seemed to be a little perished. The particular one I was looking at was a 2019 model. The salesman said it was just from being in the sun and they would soon polish up. I did wonder why the dealer hadn't done this, if it were so easy!
As a prospective new owner, I'd welcome thoughts on this. Am I worrying about nothing?

Peter, the top and bottom of the waist trim is white or grey, they get grubby and these will clean up. The centre strip is often red and fades badly. It is readily available in may colours and is commonly called Herzim trim and some owners replace it. If you use the forum search facility you should find lots of information on the subject.
