hello all ,

we recently bought a 2000 Eriba Triton 420 GT , and is can't figure out what this rod is supposed to do .
it's metal with a spring loaded hardwood end piece , it fit's in two bracket near the support for the bed , you can't put load on it , as it will pop out off the bracket .

so what's it for ?
