Servicing

We've just bought a 535 Troll, 2019 model. It was serviced by the dealer we bought it from although this was a non Eriba dealer and more a pre sale checkover than a full service. Living in Kendal we were going to use Adventure Leisure for servicing but, as covered elsewhere, that's no longer possible.

So, bearing in mind that we are long out of warranty, how important is it to use an Eriba dealer for servicing?

Essentially, all the parts I want checking are bought in parts. Brakes, suspension, hitch, stabiliser, heater etc. The various Eriba bits, hinges etc, I can fix myself.

Given a straight choice I'd choose an Eriba dealer, but how far is it worth travelling to get to one?

You might have read already that we used AV at Tebay for our 6 years warranty related services - our Troll is a 2016. When this ran out we have had our last two services done by LeisureTec in Clitheroe and we have been very happy with them. They do all makes and are very busy. They apparently used to do a fair bit of work for the chap who used to sell Eribas from Barnoldswick, so are familiar with them.

Perhaps you could find someone similar near Kendal?

Mike

Wenn Sie hier auf Links zu eBay klicken und einen Kauf tätigen, kann dies dazu führen, dass diese Website eine Provision erhält.

I had heard that some Eriba dealers are reluctant to service an Eriba bought from someone else. This surely makes it pretty tricky for anyone who bought from ALV at Tebay... Will Hymer insist other main dealers take on the warranty issues?

Have you considered a mobile engineer? The approved network will tell you who’s near you. We use one near us, services the Eriba on the drive, does our neighbours motorhome too reducing the cost to both of us. As you say most of the Eriba is generic caravan stuff and they are aware of and capable of dealing with the few little peculiarities they do have.
