Yesterday I was forced to download 8.1. That stopped me using the computer. Got it sorted this morning after taking it to local guy and he took it off in about 5 mins, no charge, although it was several hours to download yesterday blocking any use. But how the hell was I forced into having to download it and equally why did that then block access to all of my progs etc.
Wish I could afford another Mac.

Yup !! Mine got mucked up in about two clicks........Wife told me off !!......(nothing new there ).......but I still can't work out where it all went wrong, as I never download anything that's obviously new, without running it by she who knows. I think I'm ok now .....(born optimist.. )..but I'm still able to get on to eribafolk...... Ian.

Yeah ! But you;ve got 5 stars........can't compete with that, her indoors, won't let me loose in McDonalds.....something to do with cholesterol, or some such thing.. , just have to look after my supply off the red stuff !! Ian.
